Analyze the picture you are shown next.  What do you see?  What details stand out to you?  Why do you think the artist would create a painting like this? (You will need to see the picture taped to the back whiteboard in class)

#5-->9/22:
Your favorite movie star, singer, athlete (etc.) has been invited to speak at school.  You have been asked to introduce that person at the school assembly.  Write a short paragraph speech to introduce that person.

#6-->9/27:
What if your parents had to do your homework for a week?  What classes do you think they would be good at?  What classes would they struggle with?

#7-->10/5:

Acronyms are the abbreviated (shortened) names for things.
Examples:
NFL = National Football League
FBI=Federal Bureau of Investigation
USA=United States of America
